2011 BMW Z4
The 2011 BMW Z4 is a head-turning convertible thanks to its sleek styling. In addition, the BMW Z4 offers both a luxurious and smooth ride.
The two-passenger roadster BMW Z4 is available in three trims that correspond with engine choice: sDrive30i, sDrive35i, and sDrive35is. The sDrive30i utilizes a 3.0-liter incline-6 that puts out 255 horsepower. A six-speed manual transmission comes standard and an optional six-speed automatic is available. The Z4 sDrive35i uses a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter incline-6 engine that produces 300 horsepower. This model is paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a dual-clutch seven-speed automatic is available as an option. Finally, the Z4 sDrive35is has a revised version of the 35i’s twin-turbo engine that generates and impressive 335 horsepower. This engine is mated with a dual-clutch automated manual is standard.
The base 2011 BMW sDrive30i comes standard with 17-inch wheels, automatic adaptive xenon headlights, automatic windshield wipers, a fully powered retractable hardtop, adjustable sport driving settings, leatherette premium vinyl upholster, and an audio system with an auxiliary audio jack and HD radio. The Z4 sDrive35i model is upgraded with automatic climate control, sun-reflective leather upholstery and a brushed aluminum interior trim.
Aside from having a more powerful engine, the sDrive35is receives sportier steering and the M Sport package, which is available as an option on all Z4 trims. The M Sport package upgrades to 18-inch wheels, aerodynamic body kit, adaptive suspension dampers, thicker steering wheel, 10-way manual adjustable sport seats, and a higher top speed.
The BMW Z4 comes with plentiful standard safety features. These features include stability control, anti-lock brakes, brake assist, side impact airbags, and steel hoops in the event of a top-down rollover.
