Four Fun Ways to Spend Thanksgiving in Chicago
In just a few short weeks, most Americans will be spending a day or two surrounded by their families while filling up on turkey, cranberry sauce, and pies. If you will be spending Thanksgiving in Chicago and want some more activities, here are four things to consider.
If you love running or just want to burn off some pre-dinner calories, sign up for the 40th Annual Art Van Turkey Trot here in Chicago. The race benefits the Greater Chicago Food Depository and will be held Nov. 23 starting at 8am.
Chicago always has great parades. This year’s Thanksgiving Day parade steps off at 8 a.m. and runs along State Street from Congress to Randolph. Listen to some great marching bands, see amazing floats, and more.
Of course, one of America’s post-Thanksgiving traditions is to go shopping. Chicago has one of the best shopping scenes in the country, especially on Michigan Avenue. So stay up late or get up early to catch those great Black Friday deals.
After everyone has stuffed themselves full, sit down and watch a fun Thanksgiving movie together. Consider Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Hannah and Her Sisters, or Pieces of April.
Here at Perillo BMW, we want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and we are proud to serve the Chicago metropolitan area.
